Ether Extract Calculation

To estimate ether extraction, Sample of feed which is free from moisture is treated with a fat soluble solvent.The solvent extracts all the fat as well as the other substances like sterol,lecthins and other volatile oils.This extraction contains only true fats and hence it is known as crude fat or ether extract.
